    The Cast of GHOST DANCER ​ Lilia Vassileva Arturo Castro Jorge Acosta Luis Salgado Rosie Lani Fiedelman Leajato Amara Robinson Reza Salazar Lilia Vassileva ​ ​ Lakota Romero ​ Arturo Castro ​ Tony Romero ​ Reza Salazar (Lazaro) started his career out of a necessity to survive when he was only six years old. His single mother, being torn between the need to work and the desire to stay with his son, created a clown show called Honey and Bingo and gave Reza his first acting role. They traveled through five different countries in South America performing on street corners, hospitals, schools, and kids birthday parties. When he was thirteen years old, his mother decided to move to the U.S in search of a better future. In high school, Reza kept on molding his craft despite the language barrier and a few years later he moved to New York to continue his journey as an actor. His first major role was as a guest star on Law and Order. He also starred on the Spanish series Nuestro Barrio, Law and Order CI, Honey Please, the comedy TV show Louie and the Independent film The Imperialists Are Still Alive. Favorite theater credits include: Sonnets For An Old Century, Speak Truth To Power (with playwright Ariel Dorfman), Marco and In the Cypher. He and his girlfriend founded the LIPENEX Arts Project and wrote, produced and performed their first piece at the United Nations. He is a proud member of the Peoples Theater Project in Washington Heights and In the Cypher Educational Program. He loves getting involved with different organizations that are actively creating a transformation in our communities such as R.evolucion Latina where he taught clowning to over sixty kids, The Brooklyn Academy of Music where he has been invited as a guest artist teacher, and Sure We Can an NGO designed to help city canners. You can see him soon in the upcoming romantic comedy See Girl Run, Directed by Nate Meyer. ROSIE LANI FIEDELMAN (Rosaria) from Breckenridge, Colorado graduated as part of the first class from the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University BFA program. Ms. Fiedelman has performed with Chet Walker, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Mark Stuart Dance Theater, Calvin Wiley Dance Theater, Subtle Changes and Camille A. Brown. She has worked with Kevin Iega Jeff, Roger C. Jeffrey and as his assistant 2C Ronald K. Brown, Darrell Moultrie, John Paollilo, and David Moore and appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly. She was an original cast member of the four-time Tony Award-winning and 2008 Grammy Award-winning musical In The Heights, where she made her Broadway debut. She also earned the 2006-07 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance off Broadway and the 2007-08 Outstanding Broadway Chorus Award from The Actors' Equity Association. She has danced with Jennifer Muller/The Works since 2003. Ms. Fiedelman has travelled with the company to Thailand, Bolivia, China, where she taught a master class to the Beijing Dance/LDTX modern dance company and most recently Fortaleza, Brazil. Luis Salgado (Francisco) Broadway Credits includes Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Malik), 4 time Tony Award winning show In The Heights (Jose) and served as the Latin Assistant Choreographer. He has also performed in shows such as The Mambo Kings (Frankie Suarez), Fame on 42nd Street (Joe Vegas u/s), and Aida, among others. Film Credits include: "Step Up 2 The Streets" (Alejandro), "Enchanted", "Across the Universe", "The Great Observer," and "Dirty Dancing 2: Havanna Nights." Luis choreographed the musicals Serenade (Hola award for choreography), Salsa Gorda, Shafrika The White Girl and the world premier of DC-7 The Roberto Clemente Story, currently performing at Teatro SEA. Luis recently returned from Peru where he directed the musical event Candela Fuerza y Pasión. Luis is the founder/director of the non-profit organization R.Evolución Latina, a collective of artists and activists committed to empowering the artistic community in order to inspire growth within the Latino Community through collaboration, productions, and educational support programs. Arturo Castro was born in Guatemala but moved to New York at age 19 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He has appeared in over a dozen professional stage productions including the Pulitzer prize nominated Elliot, a Soldier's Fugue with the Luna Stage Theater Company, the award winning comedy Handball with the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, a lead role in the Process Group's production of Population 8 which ran at the Soho Playhouse and most recently starred in Midnight Mass, produced by Apple Core Theater at Theater Row. He has a strong supporting role, playing opposite Ben Gazzara, Talia Shire and Vinnie Pastore in the Independent feature film: Looking for Palladin. Your guide Your Guide Emileena Pedigo CEO & FOUNDER ​ Emileena entered the NYC Arts scene producing an international theater festival, working with artists from around the world hungry to get their art into the theatre capital of the world. For seven years she developed a structure for the annual festival that grew to over 60 shows in seven venues. Emileena went on to work at Tribeca International Film Festival, the Hampton's International Film Festival, CMJ music festival, and even the World Science Festival. As a tour- and stage-manager, Emileena toured theaters, arenas, and schools across the USA, working with artists from all artistic disciplines. She served as general manager for various theatrical nonprofits and managed two singer/songwriters as they launched their development journey. ​ ​ Emileena assisted 5-time Tony Award-winning producer Stewart F. Lane on 4 Broadway productions, including the Broadway to Off-Broadway transfer of The 39 Steps . For 4 years she managed 8 rehearsal studios and 2 small theaters at Where Eagles Dare and assisted in operations at Palace Theatre on Broadway for 2 years. ​ After launching TSGO in 2011, her work began to focus on emerging trends in entertainment. There she found herself stuck inside a self-perpetuating system of exploitation, witnessing many artists losing the fight. She would have been lost too if not for an excursion to an ayahuasca retreat in the Peruvian mountains. Upon her return, she found a solution she feels belongs to the world: a paradigm shift that starts one artist at a time. She calls it The Sustainability Cycle (Exploration, Inclusion, Evolution).     Robert L. Hecker Joshua A. Kashinsky Amy Klewitz Evan Storey Duane Pagano Peter Hoerburger Candice Knox Robert L. Hecker (Playwright) enlisted in the Army Air Corps after Pearl Harbor. He completed thirty missions as a lead bombardier on B-17s and was awarded six Air Medals, four battle stars, a Unit Citation and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Shortly after the war, he began a freelance writing career for radio and television, while specializing in business, education and documentary films. His documentary film awards include: San Francisco Film Festivals Golden Gate Award, Atlanta Film Festivals Gold Award, five Information Film Producers of America Cindy Awards, and four United States Cine awards. He also has had 12 novels published and five stage plays produced, including Honestly Abe, his first musical, as well as a new feature-film screenplay scheduled for shooting in the spring. Robert is a graduate of the Pasadena Playhouse and the Westlake College of Music and a member of the WGA, the Dramatists Guild, and the Alliance of LA Playwrights. Upcoming directing projects include a reading of The English Bride by Lucile Lichtblau (Luna Stage). Recent directing projects include the new musical Honestly Abe by Robert Hecker (La Muse Venale/Mint Theater) and a reading of Dead and Buried by James McLindon (Luna Stage). Recent producing credits are McCarter Theatres High School Rep and The Mad 7 by Yehuda Hyman (dir. Mara Isaacs) in the NY International Fringe Festival. Other directing credits include McCarter Theatre's Youth Ink! Festival and MCC Theatre's Youth Company. Josh was recently a Directing and Producing Assistant at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ where he assisted Des McAnnuff, Amy Morton and Nicholas Martin. As a playwright, his work has been seen in California, New York, Maine and Ontario. Most recently his play Heels in the Sand had a reading at Woodie King Jr.'s New Federal Theatre. He is the recipient of the Lipkin Prize and is a Corwin Award winner. Josh is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. Continues an active career as choreographer, dancer and actor. Amy worked as managing director of Little Light Productions. She competes as a professional Ballroom and Latin dancer, and dances for the American Ballroom Theatre. She holds a BA in Dance and Theatre and an MFA in Theatre from The Actors Studio Drama School. Through his prior work at management firm 101 Productions and as Executive Personal Assistant to producer Timothy Levy at Robert Boyett Theatricals, Evan has worked on more than 20 Broadway shows and Westend transfers. In addition, he served as Administrative Production Coordinator for the Drama Desk Awards, co-coordinated the New Island Festival, managed Front of House Operations for The New York Musical Theatre Festival, and acted as Production Manager for the Midtown International Theatre Festival. As a playwright, he has written four full-length plays and two musicals. As director, he has mounted six New York stage productions and two television pilots, with one earning him a Velocity Award Nomination for Best Director. Evan studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and is currently working on a degree in Cultural Media from Eugene Lang College at the New School for Liberal Arts. Ien is an artist, with a general focus in theater and a particular fascination with sound. Her recent work includes Planet Egg (St. Anns Puppet Lab; Holon Puppet Festival, Israel), Hay Fever (NYU-ATC), Blue Roof Skies (92nd Street Y; Jacob's Pillow Inside/Out Festival) and DayDreamers(Canadian Fringe Festival). Her work can be seen in the upcoming weeks in Trojan Women (NYU-ATC) and Anne and Emmett (Atlas Theater, DC). Many thanks to Josh, Mom, Dad, Kate, and neverbugs... little ones. Charlotte Volage theatrical credits include Broadway, Off Broadway and regional theatre. Sarah Kate is thrilled to be joining The Show Goes On team. For four years she worked closely with box-office guru Joseph Craig at his offices at both Nielsen Research Group and Entertainment Research Marketing, where their research credits include work with Disney Theatricals, SPOT Co, Spiderman: Turn off the Dark and more. Additionally, she has served as the marketing director for the past two seasons of the Midtown International Theatre Festival. She also gives marketing assistance to Touching Humanity, a theater company featuring "differently abled" performers. She has an M.F.A. from Rutgers' prestigious Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she studied playwriting. Paul Siebold is the managing director of OFF OFF PR, a firm dedicated to promoting developing theatrical productions through effective marketing communications. He has been a marketing, promotions and public relations executive for over 15 years. Pauls work has helped to achieve significant pre-press, sold-out houses and post-production success for his clients. Among his many successes, Paul was the publicist for the 2008 and 2009 winners of the New York Innovative Theatre Award's "Outstanding Production of a Musical." She was with Johnson-Liff Casting, Cameron Mackintosh, and Margolis-Seay Casting and is now out on her own as a freelance casting director. Previous credits include the Broadway and National Touring Companies of LES MISERABLES, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MISS SAIGON, and CATS as well as many other shows on Broadway, Off Broadway, National Touring Companies and shows for prominent regional theaters. Jamibeth is a member of the Casting Society of America. Currently, she is casting many new plays and musicals in development for commercial productions including SISTAS (running Off Broadway at St. Lukes) and WARSAW and is dedicated to developing new works. Alyssa Renzi Emily Padden Alyssa is a New York City based theater/film artist. Previously, she has interned on the independent film The Green as the production office assistant and at the 2nd National Asian American Theater Festival as the marketing intern. She also co-produced the short film White Rice which was accepted into the 2011 Big Apple Film Festival and is currently producing the short film Underpaid Narrator. Alyssa does freelance graphic design and editing. Emily Padden is happy to be working with Emileena and Evan again after interning for them this summer on the Midtown International Theatre Festival. A native of Massachusetts, Emily earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Salem State University (formerly Salem State College) in 2003 and immediately went to work in the Boston area as a stage manager, production assistant, stagehand, and event tech. She's worked for such regional theatres / theatre companies as The Lyric Stage of Boston, North Shore Music Theatre, The American Repertory Theatre, Boston Actors Theater, The Firehouse Center For the Arts, Boston Theatre Works, New Repertory Theatre, and Company One. Additionally, Emily served for four years as a stage manger / co-artistic director of the Boston fringe theatre company, Junkyard Dogs Productions, and in 2007 went with the Dogs to The Edmonton International Fringe Festival with their original production of Lineage. Since her move here (finally!) in May of 2010, Emily has tried to get involved as much as possible in theatre and so far has worked for the aforementioned MITF, volunteered for the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival (sensing a theme here?), and helped out as a volunteer script reader at New York Theatre Workshop. Contact Us ANOTHER WAY ARts FESTIVAL ​ We are searching the country for Arts entrepreneurs and artists who have the talent to BE the example; to remind the country why the "creative win" in business means nothing without an artistically expressive component. ​ ​ The Internet enabled a whole generation of businesses making fast money. We’ve forgotten the lessons learned by our predecessors: the value of markets growing, failing, and re-building, and the opportunity that arises from it. Honest innovation comes from the hunger and drive of entrepreneurs, outside of existing systems. ​ Since the dot-com boom in the ‘90s, corporate entities (like the banking system) and/or economic bubble are no longer allowed to explode. Instead, the system gets manipulated and bastardized to only support growth – this is big business! ​ It means the people already in power creatively twist laws, bend rules, and embrace exploitation. This "creative" pursuit promotes financial mobility over Art. It is increasingly crushing big ideas and teaching a new generation to value the dollar and the creative ‘win’ over the process of artistic expression. ​ Innovation has become the business of pushing evolution onto the consumer instead of letting society incubate and speak for itself. Corporate America is speaking for us now. ​ And we get a society where the Arts are under-appreciated due to lack of exposure. When funding deteriorates marketing suffers and programming disappears. Kids are growing up without Arts education so they don't know how to support them or pursue artistic careers practically (i.e. in a way that is financially sustainable). This is exasperated by Big Business’ view of the Arts as financially unstable. When we don't see or understand something, it's hard to remember the value in it. If a tree falls... ​ Arts are NOT fast money. Artistic endeavors by nature take time to develop. They need that incubation time to become anything of value. Outside of struggling non-profits, fighting for diminishing grants and dependent on financially squeezed consumer donations, there are no commercials centers for Arts businesses and individual artists to develop their craft. The Problem ​ ​ Cultivate the meta and make it physical. ​ The vision: A sustainable safe space to develop, incubate, showcase, and launch artistic ideas that are out-of-the-box in a non-traditional manner; where loving intentions flourish. ​ The mission: To host live events in a festival-type eco-system across artistic disciplines embracing alternative ideas. We also cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit with development programs and resources. ​ Let us together disrupt the current de-evolution of the Arts through Exploration, Inclusion, and Evolution. ​ Exploration Meta Fiziks means freedom, space, and time to develop within financially savvy models that will allow artists to make money alongside, and often in partnership with, the creative businesses making waves under the same roof. ​ Inclusion Art does not discriminate - it does not belong to an exclusive elite.
